Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Tank Rental & Sales, the Service Technician - Tanks is responsible for the assembly of new tanks and equipment as well as repairing and servicing the rental tank and equipment fleet.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble new tanks and all associated pumps and equipment onto the tanks.
  • Service and repair all rental tanks and associated rental equipment.
  • Ship and receive tanks and associated equipment.
  • Maintain yard and shop in an orderly manner.
  • Operate forklift in a safe and professional manner.
  • Accountable for completing all required documentation correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Be available to be on call and maintain excellent customer relations.
  • Ensure safe practices are being followed in accordance to Health and Safety policies and practices.
  • Responsible to read, understand and comply with UFA/BarW and client's Health, Safety and Environment Policies and Safe Work Practices and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required.
  • Forklift experience is an asset.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be willing to train on new programs.
  • Ability to manage multiple service work requests.
  • Exceptional customer/people skills.
  • Valid class 5 license
  • Required to be available to do 24 hour / 7-day service calls when scheduled.
  • Required to work away from home overnight when required.

 

This is a safety sensitive position as will be on site at UFA facilities and will be using UFA material handling equipment. The successful applicant will be required to pass (negative result) a drug and alcohol screening test as a condition of employment.
