Position Summary:
Reporting to the Service Manager, the Dispatcher is responsible to effectively coordinate customer and internal requests through the Dispatch Call Center, leveraging service technician’s knowledge and skills for timely execution and providing ongoing service work that is aligned to client contracts and internal request. The Dispatcher needs to execute general electrical and Petroleum related duties on projects and/or service sites when necessary. Duties also include electronic and mechanical repairs, in-house and on-site, and commission equipment as assigned.

What will you be doing?
- Effective dispatch practices that leverage electrical and service technician’s knowledge and skills.
- Accurately plan, schedule and manage day to day customer work requests with enough details, parts, resources and scope of work to execute tasks efficiently meeting or exceeding customer requirements ensuring customer equipment availability is maintained and not compromised
- Work with managers from other departments to share staff and resources.
- Perform electrical, electronic, and mechanical repairs and commission equipment as assigned by complying with all UFA/BarW, insurance, company and government regulations.
- Cross train, coach and support Electrical and Service Technicians on day to day operations.
- Coordinate customer relations by managing allocated calls efficiently to improve service and decrease costs. This includes planning for adequate tools and equipment necessary for efficient work.
- Accountable for completing all required documentation correctly and in a timely manner.
- Assist in development and contributing of ideas for operational and technical improvements to existing equipment and technology.
- Ensure safe practices are being followed in accordance to Health and Safety policies and practices.
- Responsible to read, understand and comply with UFA/BarW and client's Health, Safety and Environment Policies and Safe Work Practices and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Are you qualified?
- High school diploma. Journeyman or Master Electrician. Required to participate and be certified in CPCA PM-Training.
- 5 + years previous experience in electrical, mechanical and petroleum troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite including database entry.
- Ability to manage multiple service/project work requests effectively and efficiently.
- Exceptional customer/people skills.
- Require mathematical and mechanical aptitude, an analytical approach to problem solving, physical strength, manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination and an ability to work at heights.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient Problem-solving skills and conflict management.
- Positive attitude and a good communicator of company core values.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and electrical code specifications. Knowledgeable about computerized machinery and efficient with hand tools.
- Obtain industry specific OEM training and certifications.
- Be able to pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance performance.
- Willing to maintain a strong technical knowledge of assigned equipment through on the job training and training programs.
