Job Overview:

Are you interested in Service Technician jobs, particularly as a fuel station service technician or petrol pump service technician? Do you have experience in downstream maintenance, electrical work, calibration, car washes, and construction? If so, Bar W is the perfect place for you!

 

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be an integral part of our team performing both electronic and mechanical repairs. Working closely with the customers and applying Bar W processes and regulations, you will work both at our facilities and on-site at customer locations.

 

Our technicians specialize in the Retail/Commercial Gas Stations, Cardlock/Bulk Petroleum sites, Carwashes, and Commercial/Industrial Electrical Services for Maitenance and Construction in Western Canada, Yukon, and NWT.

 

This position can be located in either Red Deer, Edmonton, or Calgary

What will you be doing?

  • Conduct electronic and mechanical repairs, both on-site and in-house as part of the Service Technician job description.
  • Perform installation, repairs, and preventative maintenance on fuel dispensing equipment, focusing on petrol pump service technician tasks.
  • Service car wash operating equipment at various locations.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and handle service calls effectively.
  • Contribute ideas for operational and technical improvements.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure safe practices are being followed in line with Health and Safety guidelines.

 

Are you qualified?

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical and petroleum troubleshooting relevant to Service Technician jobs.
  • Will be required to complete and be certified in CPCA PM1 Training.
  • Ability to operate software applications including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with computerized machinery and hand tools.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement.
  • Ability to maintain and expand technical knowledge through training.

 

What is the work schedule?

  • Our team focuses on a healthy work life balance.
  • Will be required to work away from home and overnight as needed.
  • When scheduled, 24-hours / 7-days a week on-call availability required for service calls.
