Job Summary:

Are you interested in becoming a Service Technician or have experience in the downstream maintenance, electrical, calibration, carwashes and construction industry? Do you have knowledge of tank rental and mobile cardlock solutions? Well then BarW is the place for you! Reporting to the Service Manager you will be an integral part of our team performing electronic and mechanical repairs. Working closely with our customers and applying BarW processes and regulations you will conduct in-house and on-site repairs to our customers’ businesses.

We are seeking technicians in either Red Deer or Edmonton.

What will you be doing?

  • Perform electronic and mechanical repairs including on-site and in-house repairs of equipment and technology.
  • Installation, repair and preventative maintenance of all fuel dispensing and related equipment.
  • Repair carwash operating equipment at various stations.
  • Maintain customer relationships by managing allocated calls to improve service and decrease costs. This includes planning for adequate tools and equipment necessary for efficient work.
  • Contributing to new ideas for operational and technical improvements to existing equipment and technology.
  • Accountable for completing all required documentation correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure safe practices are being followed in accordance with Health and Safety policies and practices.

 

Are you qualified?

  • High school diploma.
  • Proficient (with a minimum 2 years’ experience) in mechanical and petroleum troubleshooting or related industry experience.
  • Will be required to complete and be certified in CPCA PM1 Training.
  • Ability to accurately operate software applications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge about computerized machinery, as well as be efficient with hand tools.
  • Proven strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Valid Class 5 license. Clean Drivers Abstract is required.
  • Willingness and interest to pursue continuing education opportunities to enhance performance.
  • Ability to maintain a strong technical knowledge of assigned equipment through on the job training and training programs.

 

What is the work schedule?

  • Our team focuses on work life balance.
  • Required to work away from home and overnight as needed
  • When scheduled - available to be on-call 24-hours and 7-days a week for service calls

 

This is a safety sensitive position. The successful applicant will be required to pass (negative result) a drug and alcohol screening test (includes cannabis) and criminal background check (if applicable) as a condition of employment.
