Job Overview:
Are you an Electrician or Electrical Technician (1st, 2nd, or 3rd year) who have experience in downstream maintenance, electrical systems, calibration, carwash mechanics, and construction industry? Do you have knowledge of tank rental and mobile cardlock solutions? Well then BarW is the place for you!
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be an integral part of our team performing both electronic and mechanical repairs. Working closely with customers and applying Bar W processes and regulations, you will work both at our facilities and on-site at customer locations. Our technicians.
Our technicians specialize in the Retail/Commercial Gas Stations, Cardlock/Bulk Petroleum sites, Carwashes, and Commercial/Industrial Electrical Services for Maintenance and Construction in Western Canada, Yukon & NWT.

What will you be doing?
- Perform electronic and mechanical repairs on-site and in-house, of equipment and technology as assigned in compliance with current industry codes, insurance and government regulations
- Install, repair, and maintain fuel dispensing systems
- Service car wash operating equipment at various locations.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and handle service calls effectively.
- Plan for adequate tools and equipment necessary for efficient work.
- Contribute ideas for operational and technical improvements.
- Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Ensure safe practices are being followed in line with Health and Safety guidelines.
Are you qualified?
- High school diploma and enrollment with Alberta AIT as an Electrical Apprentice.
- Will be required to complete and be certified in CPCA PM1 Training.
- Strong foundation in electric, mechanical, and petroleum knowledge troubleshooting of technological challenges relative to electric, electronic, and mechanical repairs.
- Developing good mathematical and mechanical aptitude with an analytical approach to problem solving.
- Physical strength, manual dexterity, good hand-eye coordination, efficient with hand tools, and an ability to work at heights.
- Knowledgeable about computerized machinery. Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical specifications.
- Good organization and time management skills. Capable of developing the ability to manage multiple service and project work requests.
- Good customer service and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning and skill enhancement. Ability to maintain and expand technical knowledge through training.
- Ability to operate software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
What is the work schedule?
- Our team focuses on a healthy work life balance.
- Will be required to work away from home and overnight as needed.
- When scheduled, 24-hours / 7-days a week on-call availability required for service calls.
This is a safety sensitive position. Successful candidates must pass a drug and alcohol screening (including cannabis) and a criminal background check (if applicable) as condition of employment.
