Position Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Tank Division, the Service Technician, Tanks is responsible for the assembly of new tanks and equipment as well as repairing and servicing the rental tank and equipment fleet.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Assemble new tanks and all associated pumps and equipment onto the tanks.
- Service and repair all rental tanks and associated rental equipment.
- Ship and receive tanks and associated equipment.
- Maintain yard and shop in an orderly manner.
- Operate forklift in a safe and professional manner.
- Accountable for completing all required documentation correctly and in a timely manner.
- Be available to be on call and maintain excellent customer relations.
- Ensure safe practices are being followed in accordance to Health and Safety policies and practices.
- Responsible to read, understand and comply with UFA/BarW and client's Health, Safety and Environment Policies and Safe Work Practices and/or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
Qualifications required for the position:
- High school diploma required.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
- Must have basic computer skills and be willing to train on new programs.
- Ability to manage multiple service work requests.
- Exceptional customer/people skills.
- Valid class 5 license
- Required to be available to do 24 hour / 7-day service calls when scheduled.
- Required to work away from home overnight when required.
This is a safety sensitive position as will be on site at UFA facilities and will be using UFA material handling equipment. The successful applicant will be required to pass (negative result) a drug and alcohol screening test as a condition of employment.
