Position Summary:

 

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Customer Sales and Service Representative 3 (CSSR 3) is responsible for serving and assisting customers in the selection and purchase of goods and services and/or fuel and fuel products to meet their needs. Position may be based in UFA store / yard locations or agency sites for majority of shifts, but cross-training within each business area is required. The Representative provides service in accordance with UFA’s Customer Service Policy and initiates and/or implements corrective action as required to ensure that an excellent standard of service and a high level of customer satisfaction is maintained.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver best-in-class customer service in person and by phone, including CRM management and sales lead execution or referral.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, guiding peers on product knowledge, service practices, and UFA policies.
  • Perform key holder duties, including opening/closing procedures and manager-on-duty responsibilities to support store management.
  • Support store/site operations including shipping/receiving, inventory management, and fuel reconciliation (Petroleum Operations).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of store, yard, and warehouse areas, ensuring safety and merchandising standards.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, paperwork review, invoice coding, and support for special projects.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Grade 12 diploma with 5+ years in a customer-focused role.
  • Expert knowledge in Agribusiness or Petroleum products.
  • Strong sales skills, cash handling, and computer proficiency (SAP or similar systems preferred).
  • Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 25 kg.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Certifications such as WHMIS, TDG, AMS, and Pesticide Dispenser preferred or required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
