Job Summary:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Buildings, the Building Sales Representative is responsible for selling building projects within a geographical area.

The BSR is a seasoned sales representative that applies their broad knowledge of the industry and product lines to assist their customers in meeting their project objectives. The BSR expertly manages a large sales territory and capitalizes on cross selling and upselling opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Targets selling to customers within an assigned territory.
    Act on sales leads from customers, customer account managers or other internal and external sources.
  • Prepare and present customer sales packages including project quotations, sales contracts and credit documentation.
  • Conduct on-site sales calls to ensure accurate quotation and sales contract preparation. Conduct on-site sales calls as required to complete change orders and/or final walk-through inspection, processes and documentation.
  • Prepare and properly file project documents on the building solutions record keeping systems.
  • Develop and maintain sales relationships with local contractors.
  • Attend trade shows, and other marketing opportunities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma required, college diploma in buildings related field an asset. Project management designation is an asset.
  • Minimum 5 years prior buildings experience required.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience with laminated post and wood frame building project estimating and quotation an asset.
  • Ability to read construction/installation drawings required to complete accurate sales quotations and sales contract documents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Class 5 driver’s license required.

Is a safety sensitive position as will be on site at UFA facilities and will be using UFA material handling equipment. The successful applicant will be required to pass (negative result) a drug and alcohol screening test as a condition of employment.
