Position Summary:

Reporting to the Business Solutions Manager – Operations, the Business Solutions Coordinator acts as a liaison between the Operations and IT, with a focus on business process and system solutions for the UFA Petroleum & Farm Store network. This includes defining business requirements, justifications, and executing implementation of system solutions as it relates to the UFA Operations.This position has a detailed understanding of the division’s business processes and system functions, with an in-depth technical knowledge of UFA’s systems, and other available technologies. Managing compliance to regulatory requirement and minimizing risk (financial and regulatory) related to card management, payment card industry (PCI), customer support and site technology across UFA Operations.

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Obtain strong understanding of technical infrastructure that operates the cardlock network, partnering with the IT team, Engineering, BarW and other identified vendors.
  • Monitor cardlock hardware inventory to ensure optimal inventory is maintained for regular operations.
  • Appropriately resolving software issues and developing system solutions related to card and Cardlock technology.
  • Analyze UFA’s systems capabilities (both existing and future) and ensure the right solutions are identified, developed, and implemented to meet the needs of the division, while supporting UFA overall business.
  • Support Operations solutions, including projects, system enhancements and day to day system support; evaluating solution options.
  • Facilitate and design focus groups; understanding issues, business impacts, identifying gaps and identifying  and documenting solution requirements and areas of integration
  • Coordinate the development of business system solutions utilizing standard, leading practice process and standard system set up and configuration, limiting customized solutions
  • Coordinate and ensure proper solution testing has been completed; all solutions are supported and validated by the subject matter expert across all divisions.
  • Maintain and support the updating and development of new and existing process documents, process flows charts and training material for all division system related processes.
  • Coordinate and deliver training, as required, communication on process and system changes; including modification and best practices to all end users.
  • Supporting internal users with system program and applications.

 

Qualifications required for the position:

  • Degree in Business or Accounting; with 5+ years’ relevant experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager; and experience with business process management methods.
  • Extensive computer skills and system experience. Proficient in MS suites, financial software (including POS), information systems, data modeling, SAP and Power BI
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientation is an asset; demonstrated ability to pay persistent attention to detail while maintain an overall view of the situation, the enterprise and strategic road maps
  • Strong communication, planning and collaboration skills; critical thinking and complex problem solving
  • Effective and proven time management, setting priorities and delivery on multiple deadlines.
