We are looking for a strategic Human Resources Business Partner to play a pivotal role in shaping our organization's success. You will work closely with leadership to guide transformational change, foster business growth, and deliver on talent strategies grounded. Your ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives will be instrumental in driving performance, engagement, and reinforcing culture.

 

Reporting to the Manager, HR Business Partners, you will have the opportunity to shape business outcomes, enhance organizational agility, and make a lasting impact using HR as a strategic driver for success. This position can be located in either Calgary or Edmonton.

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage analytics and HR metrics to provide meaningful insights that support workforce planning and talent management.
  • Employee Relations: Provide guidance to leaders on HR services, policies, and best practices.
  • Performance Management: Deliver leadership coaching that drives effectiveness, accountability, and performance.
  • Strategic Guidance: Partner with leaders to develop and deliver on HR strategies that drive business success.
  • Change Management: Lead organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions while optimizing workforce engagement and performance.
  • Operational Excellence: Embody and champion process improvement and innovation within the HR team. 

 

Qualifications required for the position:

  • Post-secondary degree business or other related discipline.
  • 10 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and champion HR policies, practices, and procedures that align with organizational goals and culture.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Ability to visualize, articulate, and solve complex problems, making informed decisions, and the initiative to formulate a plan.
  • Proven ability to establish relationships and coach business leaders.
  • Able to work through ambiguity and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Able to segment priorities accordingly and driven to produce high quality results.
  • Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems, digital transformation in HR, and innovative talent management solutions.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) and Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR) designation is a preferred asset.
