ABOUT US

UFA is a proudly Canadian co-operative with more than a century of history serving rural communities, producers, and businesses across Western Canada. Built on the principle that we are stronger together, our members are also our owners — which means our success is measured not only in financial performance, but in the strength of the communities we support.

Through the UFA Foundation, we invest in community programs that strengthen agriculture, education, safety, and rural life, ensuring the places where we live and work continue to thrive for generations. Our long history gives us stability and purpose; our future growth gives us momentum.

WHY YOU’LL WANT TO JOIN US

This is an organization with real momentum. UFA continues to expand, modernize, and invest in the future while staying grounded in its co-operative values and community impact.

We have been recognized as one of Alberta’s Best Places to Work for 14 consecutive years and recently named one of Alberta’s Top Employers for New Graduates, reflecting our commitment to building strong careers and strong teams.

More importantly, we are at a point in our journey where growth, transformation, and operational evolution are happening at the same time. For people who want to help shape what the next decade of success looks like, not just maintain what already exists, this is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to communities across the province.

WHY YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO JOIN US

We are evolving. Processes are improving, priorities shift as the business grows, and leaders are expected to think beyond their immediate function to support enterprise success. If you are at all change adverse, this might not be the role for you as you are helping guide people through change.

If you prefer highly established processes, or environments where client and member needs are not the driving force behind decisions, this likely won’t be the right fit.

But if you want to build, improve, and help shape what comes next, while working alongside people who care deeply about their communities and each other, you will feel at home here.
