Job Summary:
The Manager, Business Insights plays a pivotal role in advancing UFA’s customer-centric business model across petroleum, crop inputs, and retail sales. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Product Marketing, this role supports strategic sales execution through comprehensive reporting and data analysis. Acting as a key liaison between the sales organization and the data team, the Manager will help prioritize enhancements to UFA’s semantic models.
This position collaborates closely with operations, finance, and data teams to deliver actionable insights that drive revenue and profitability across UFA’s business units. The Manager will lead the development of datasets, reporting tools, and analytical frameworks that support the design and execution of sales and organizational initiatives. Additionally, the role provides ad-hoc analytical support for financing, leasing, and prepay programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
- Partner with the Product Marketing team to design, develop, and deploy Excel and Power BI reporting tools for sales and management teams.
- Collaborate with the Data & Analytics team to enhance Power BI semantic models, including the integration of external market data.
- Generate customer target lists to support sales initiatives such as call campaigns, email outreach, and individual sales efforts.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to monitor sales performance and initiative outcomes.
- Manage and refine UFA’s competitor mapping data.
- Build and sustain UFA’s customer segmentation model.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform future sales programs, including financing, leasing, and prepay offerings.
- Provide timely ad-hoc reporting and data support to sales teams and senior leadership.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities within sales processes.
- Conduct post-initiative performance reviews to extract insights and inform future strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in analytics and reporting roles.
- Proven experience leading high-performing teams is an asset.
- Industry experience in agriculture and/or oil and gas is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX queries, data visualization, and data modeling.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics and SAP ERP systems is an asset.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Energetic and collaborative mindset with a keen interest in UFA’s diverse business operations.
