Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Retail Planning, the Retail Field Merchandiser supports the execution of merchandising, operational, and promotional standards across assigned store locations. Through regular store visits and collaboration with store teams and head office, this role helps ensure consistent store execution, identifies opportunities for improvement, and supports initiatives that enhance the customer experience, store presentation, and overall business performance.

This is a field based position that can be located in Central or Southern Alberta.

Responsibilities:

• Support the execution of company merchandising, operational, and promotional standards across store locations.

• Conduct store visits to assess merchandising, inventory, and compliance with company standards.
• Implement planograms, promotions, signage, and seasonal merchandising programs.
• Monitor store execution, report findings, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support store teams, communicate field feedback, and maintain positive working relationships.
• Complete store audits, reports, and follow-up activities accurately and on time.
• Promote a safe work environment and report safety concerns, incidents, and hazards.
• Support special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of retail, merchandising, inventory, or store operations experience.
• Certificate or Diploma in Business, Retail Management, or a related field is an asset.
• Knowledge of merchandising, promotions, inventory management, and retail operations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, POS systems, and spreadsheet reporting.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Ability to build effective relationships with store and head office teams.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to travel 50%-75% within the assigned territory.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical merchandising activities as required.
• This is a safety sensitive position as the use of a UFA fleet vehicle will be required. The successful applicant will be required to pass (negative result) a drug and alcohol screening test as a condition of employment.
