Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Strategy Implementation, the Site Readiness & Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end operational delivery of new Retail Farm and Ranch Store and Crop Input sites (CPP Sheds, Fertilizer Facilities) or new petroleum sites. This role ensures that all new sites are market ready with seamless launch, sustained operations, and handover to the business.
The Site Readiness & Delivery Manager acts as the central liaison between construction, operations, and support teams (communications, HR, IT, marketing, merchandising, supply chain) for the setup of newly constructed locations. This role drives operational readiness and stakeholder alignment to turn project plans into fully functioning, customer-ready sites.
Responsibilities:
- Project oversight of operational planning and execution for the commissioning and launch of new site builds.
- Collaborate with real estate, construction, engineering, and retail operations teams to align the timing of site development and site readiness requirements.
- Key responsibilities include, for new petroleum locations:
- Work with the Construction Manager to track site build progress and proactively address risks, delays, and operational gaps.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement across IT, finance, legal, HR, and operations to ensure alignment and accountability.
- Work with the broader team to ensure that we implement operational launch plans, including training, systems integration, and supply chain readiness.
- Work closely with marketing, sales and the operations team to ensure visual merchandising supports the overall business objectives.
- Work with the merchandising team to implement visual merchandising strategies that align with the brand’s vision and goals.
- Working closely with operations’ leadership and HR to ensure the sites are fully staffed or agents are in place.
- Lead site commissioning and handover processes, ensuring all operational systems are tested and functional.
- Support continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and applying best practices to future builds.
Qualifications:
- University degree or diploma in business, operations or related field.
- 10+ years in operations; 3+ years focused in retail or petroleum/agribusiness operations leadership or project management.
- Direct leadership experience with new site start-up or initiation of site operations in new markets for a retailer or agribusiness service provider.
- A PMP or other Project Manager Accreditation would be a strong asset.
- Strong background in cross-functional coordination, launch planning, and operational execution.
- Proficient computer skills: SAP or D365 experience is an asset.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
