Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Fuel Supply & Distribution, is responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day fuel supply from our contracted supply partners to our distribution alternatives, balancing our network requirements against our current supply contracts, as well as the acquisition of spot fuel to complete our supply requirements. In addition, this role will manage/oversee the fuel distribution, inventory, and quality programs.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining fuel supply contracts & inventory targets for gasoline, diesel and renewables. The annual fuel requirement exceeds 1 billion liters.
- Manage carrier agreements ensuring service levels are met while building/maintaining strong relationships.
- Oversee carrier performance vs targets and anticipate supply disruptions alternatives.
- Maintain a network of alternative fuel suppliers & carriers to ensure ongoing operations are protected from market disruptions.
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and contractual requirements.
- Collaborate with finance on tax, carbon levy, and biofuel reporting.
- Ensure reconciliation policies & procedures for fuel inventories are maintained/enforced.
- Manage fuel & oils quality program.
- Strong cross functional collaboration is required.
Qualifications:
- University degree in business or another relevant field.
- 10+ years of experience in petroleum supply/distribution/trading; 15+ years downstream.
- Proven expertise in supply optimization, trading, and negotiation.
- Advanced Excel skills; Power BI & SAP experience preferred.
- Strong vendor/carrier management and regulatory knowledge.
- Skilled in cross-functional decision-making under time-sensitive conditions.
