Job Summary

The Sr. Manager, Lubricants Products is accountable for the end‑to‑end commercial performance of UFA’s lubricants portfolio across UFA's retail and direct‑to‑customer channels. This role owns product assortment decisions, supplier relationships, pricing and margin performance, and go‑to‑market strategy, while partnering closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations to drive profitable growth for the category. The role has a strong B2B growth mandate while maintaining ownership and performance oversight of the B2C business. Success requires deep technical lubricants expertise, strong industry relationships, and the ability to convert market insight into clear commercial strategies.

 

Responsibilities:

Product & Portfolio Management

  • Lead product assortment, pricing and promotional strategies for lubricants, including private label and branded offerings, ensuring alignment with customer needs, sales and margin objectives, and UFA’s strategic priorities.
  • Evaluate product lifecycle decisions (additions, rationalization, substitutions) based on market trends, volume performance, and profitability.
  • Maintain clear product positioning across customer segments and channels.

Commercial Strategy & Go‑to‑Market

  • Partner with Marketing to develop and execute a clear lubricants go‑to‑market strategy, including promotions, merchandising, and value propositions.
  • Ensure execution aligns with UFA brand standards and supports both B2B and B2C growth objectives.
  • Translate market intelligence into actionable growth plans.

Supplier & Contract Management

  • Lead supplier relationships including contract negotiations, pricing, rebates, and performance management.
  • Drive accountability with suppliers on service levels, product quality, availability, and cost competitiveness.
  • Identify and manage supplier risk while securing UFA's supply continuity.

Supply Chain & Cost Optimization

  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Distribution teams to ensure on‑time order fulfillment and reliable product availability.
  • Partner with the supply chain team to optimize freight and logistics costs, balancing service, inventory, and working capital objectives.
  • Support inventory strategy decisions to minimize cost while maintaining service levels.

Sales & Operations Enablement

  • Partner with Sales and Operations to set targets, support execution, and monitor performance versus plan.
  • Provide product, pricing, and technical guidance to front‑line teams to enable confident customer conversations.
  • Support large customer opportunities and key account strategies as a subject‑matter expert.

Pricing & Margin Management

  • Own lubricants pricing guidance and margin targets.
  • Monitor margin performance, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Deliver clear reporting on pricing, margins, and performance drivers to leadership.

 

Qualifications: 

Required

  • Proven technical lubricants knowledge, including applications, specifications, and performance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the lubricants market, competitive landscape, and customer buying behaviors.
  • Established industry relationships with suppliers, distributors, or customers.
  • Experience managing supplier contracts, pricing, category management, and commercial performance.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional initiatives across Marketing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Operations.
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated accountability for margin and growth.

Preferred

  • Experience in B2B energy, agriculture, transportation, or industrial markets.
  • Experience managing both wholesale/B2B and retail/B2C portfolios.
  • Post‑secondary education in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort using data to support pricing and portfolio decisions.
