Job Summary:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Treasury Operations, the Treasury Analyst coordinates and processes key cash management and treasury transactions, works with internal and external partners. The Treasury Analyst is also responsible for preparing ad hoc and ongoing reporting for the department and management.
Responsibilities:
- This role is critical to cash management and control activities including:
- Coordinate and execute daily cash management processes.
- Prepare and maintain borrowing and repayment schedules for syndicated loans
- Prepare daily and month end bank reconciliations.
- Complete daily Transaction Analysis and ensure differences are addressed.
- Perform general accounting functions including accruals and preparation of cash journal entries.
- Maintain and update Cash Flow Forecast.
- The role also has accountability for important ongoing reporting and administrative duties, including:
- Manage and administer the Corporate Card Program.
- Fee Analysis – Banking and Payment Service Providers.
- Provide ongoing support on treasury related inquiries/requests from UFA sites and head office.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to investigate and resolve outstanding items.
- Support audit activities by gathering documentation, preparing schedules and responding to audit queries as required.
- Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as required to support the treasury and finance teams.
- Work with Business Development, Corporate Accounting and other Finance groups as needed.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business/Finance/Accounting/Commerce or equivalent.
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) is an asset.
- Five years’ work experience with minimum of three years in a high-volume environment
- Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to deliver high degree of accuracy while working with manual data.
- Proficient user of SAP.
- Proficiency with Excel and financial modeling would be an asset.
- Ability to work and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
